Councillor Margaret ChristensonI grew up on a farm just east of Echo Bay, so I have rural routes. I attended Maple Leaf Public School, Echo Bay Public School and Sault Collegiate Institute. Later I attended Algoma University where I obtained a degree in Canadian Studies in 1983 and a second degree in Political Science in 1999.
I am married and have three children, and seven grandchildren. In 1973 my husband and I purchased the Family Camp which was built in 1929 by his father and uncles. In 2008 we decided to downsize and become permanent residents of Prince Township and so we demolished the old non winterized camp and built our new home on its footprint. I have been involved with the Prince Library and the Prince Women’s Institute and the Prince Museum. I love living on the shores of Lake Superior and enjoy having input into the future plans for this beautiful Township. |
